Donations

We appreciate any donations that you choose to give. 100% of proceeds go to helping the lives of the students at PWHS and improving their education to give them the best chances at succeeding. We are looking for the following items.

Donations needed:

1. Monetary donations: Unrestricted monetary donations allow Friends of Phillis Wheatley High School the greatest flexibility in helping students in need. $10 will buy 10 toothbrushes; $35 will buy a backpack; $50 will supply a student with a week’s worth of underwear and socks; $100 will buy 50 bars of soap and enough laundry pods for a family for a month. For tax-exempt donations, send checks made out to “Friends of Phillis Wheatley High School” and mail to Friends of Phillis Wheatley High School, 5427 Carew St., Houston, TX 77096. For paypal:

2. Youthful clothes in all sizes, new or gently used in good condition.

3. New hygiene supplies (soap, shampoo – especially for curly hair -, hair conditioner, laundry pods, combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tampons, sanitary pads, razors with razor blades, etc.)

4. Backpacks mesh/transparent and large enough to hold a computer.
